I just restored a 1913 Albert System Buffet.

The bell is "stuck" to the lower section. Here is a
dumb question:

Is it supposed to come apart? I assumed it was not
meant to and did not try to pry apart. In fact, I will
avoid the risk of damaging this fine instrument and
just leave it alone. So who cares if doesn't come
apart?? I can still clean and service the
clarinet....admittedly I am looking for a case that
will house it the way it is.

BTW, why does it get stuck??
