That's the great thing about CD's. Unlike turntables and tape players,
they are ALWAYS at the right pitch, since it is not dependent upon the
disc rotation speed. But variable-speed turntables do have their
charms. I used to have to crank my LP of the Mozart quintet up enough to
play it on my Bb clarinet. Fortunately, now that I have an A it is no
longer necessary, and, having carefully checked the speed on the turntable
first, I have burned the LP to CD.
