Fernando, I think this depends on the city. But even the largest cities
may not have a quality bass clarinet available for rent. Were I in your
position and planning to audition for an important position, I would not
risk the opportunity by trying to get a quality instrument that is in
good condition by chance.

Instead, I would contact some professionals in the city in which you
intend to audition and see if they might be able to help you in advance.
But I would still find it surprising if you were successful.

Why do you not want to take your own instrument with you??
