Mitch--

First, the left hand Ab/Eb lever IMHO is a valuable addition that should =
be
made standard on ALL professional-level instruments. Those who dislike =
the
key should have the option of removing it as opposed to those who like =
it
having it added.

The R13 Vintage is an R13, except that the specifications for the bore =
are
those from the R13 when first introduced. As with any piece of =
equipment,
specifications alter slightly over time, and the R13 Vintage is--to my
knowledge--manufactured to the original specs.

Subject: [kl] R13 Vintage

I know that the most common instrument played by pro's in america is an =
R13,

but i was wondering how many people who play R13's have tried the R13=20
Vintage model. I play one myself, and i think they are the best =
instrument=20
on the market. The only criticism i've had of the instrument is that =
some=20
people don't like the alternate Eb/Ab. I would like to know if anyone =
else=20
has opinions about this model of instrument, and why/ why not a standard =
R13

is better.

thanks,

Mitch Riley
