By the way, hair curler paper (for women's hair) works well also, and it
costs less, and it is available at almost any store that sells women's
hair shampoo, curling irons, etc. No strange looks when you ask the
lady behind the counter for a package.

While I like to use EZO Denture Cushions over my bottom teeth for long
practice sessions due to my chipped tooth, I have another use for hair
curler papers. I keep one close by when I'm using Legere reeds. Moisture
tends to build up on the back of the reed more than with cane so I use a
hair curler paper folded in half and frequently slide it behind the reed to
dry it off. They hold up better than cigarette paper. (I think I got this
one from Don Yungkurth).
