Anybody else going to or did hear Buddy DeFranco in Pittsburgh this weekend?

By great fortune of connections through a student of mine, I was able to go
last night. Wow. What a concert. It was at the Manchester Craftsmen's
Guild on the North Side. I got to talk with Joyce, his wife, before the
concert, and get autographs (they were signing for everybody) and pictures
afterwards.

But, more importantly, the playing was just incredible. It was Buddy
DeFranco and Terry Gibbs (vibes). They were quite an act....they could do
standup! Buddy is 80 and Terry Gibbs is 78, but so vibrant. I'm not being
very eloquent, I know, it was just great and I wanted to share! If you have
a chance........go!!
