I have that problem on occasion. Actually, a fellow
clarinetist at my school recommended a very simple
solution: masking tape. i suppose it's basically the
same as paper, but it wont dissolve and i find it
stays in place easier. and it's not suspicious (for
those of you at schools that are like that. we never
had problems. i even carried my screwdriver and my
friend carried her reed knives).

I use it only when i need to, i dont use it on a
regular basis.

*totally random comment* music stands are evil. i was
trying to adjust the director's stand when i was
setting up friday morning. it didnt budge and then it
came up real fast and popped me right in the
mouth(lower lip/teeth area). as of today(tuesday), i
still cant play because it's too painful.
