Ask your orthodontist for some wax. You use it to prevent your brackets from rubbing against the insides of your mouth. You should only have to use it until your skin toughens up enough. I would think this cigarette paper would fall apart when it meets saliva and if not it might be hard explaining you use this paper for clarinet playing when a teacher finds it in school. I would guess since it is tobacco and drug paraphernalia it would not be allowed in school no matter what reason you gave.
