Hi Dewet,
Hang in there with those braces and the retainer. In the larger picture of
your life this will be just a short phase, and you'll be SO glad you had the
braces. It made all the difference for me and my clarinet playing when I was
18. I started out by putting cigarette rolling paper over the braces on my
lower teeth, but after I while I didn't need to any more. You will find what
works best for you, just keep trying.
