List is $1550. The similar Marantz unit runs a couple hundred $$ less, =
but
it doesn't have the USB.

This recorder was developed for ENG (Electronic News Gathering) so =
therefore
it is *extremely* rugged. It is made so that it can be abused and still
work. Being that it was developed for a specialized professional use, =
it
has a high price.
