Many of you on this list are aware of the fact that I work as a freelance
recording/sound engineer here in Los Angeles. Many of you have written me
with questions privately and I respond on the list whenever I have time...

For those that don't know me, I've been around here on and off for many
years (ahh yes.. I remember the bitnet klarinet address :-) ) As a
clarinetist, I had the pleasure of attending the Eastman School of Music
where I studied with Peter Hadcock, Eli Eban, and Kenneth Grant. As a
student at USC for my grad work, I worked with Mitchell Lurie, Yehuda Gilad
and David Howard (bass clarinet).

Fifth Circle Audio (my recording business) specializes is the recording,
editing, and sound reinforcement of acoustic music. I work in all styles,
but classical and jazz are my favorites. We work mostly with live music,
but we're also equally at home in the studio as well. Our engineers are
equally comfortable with small (1 or 2 microphone) jobs as well as huge
events (where 50 or more mics and multiple consoles may be involved).
Lately, Fifth Circle Audio has also been contracted for work providing sound
services for Film and Video.
