I'm 20, and I've attended a number of jazz concerts over the past two years
(at my former high school, the University of Tulsa (in my hometown),
Interlochen, and OU). I've also of course been to lots of classical
concerts, world music performances, contemporary (20th century
art-music-type) concerts, operas, ballets, and a rock show or two. I would
love to play in the jazz band here at OU, but I can't fit it into my
schedule, not to mention the fact that my one semester of jazz saxophone
experience in high school just wouldn't cut it.
