Oh, it's worse than that. I've been doing CNN. The news doesn't make me
think I'm a millipede-like creature or remind me of tidepools, alas.
Watching the news is more like crawling out of the slag at the bottom of a
bomb crater and snuffling around for tasty scraps. Hence a bit of
escapism, back to the good old days in school. Or, no, wait, come to think
of it, those were the bad old days of the Vietnam War. Funny how lateral
thinking sometimes sends a person back to the same old crater.
