Perhaps she did (I have no knowledge thereof myself); but when quoted
out of context (such as here on Klarinet), it does seem to offer
discouragement to the many people who are more interested in satisfying
themselves rather than in a musical career.

That's all that I intended.

Did she limit her students to people on the career track? For that
matter, is (or should it be) all higher music education designed for the
career track?
