That's very true, and I didn't mean to imply otherwise. One of my =
favorite
teachers was exactly that sort of person. I think my point was that
teaching shouldn't be treated as some sort of default fallback for a
musician who doesn't make it as a pro in performance. You shouldn't =
choose
teaching unless you really have an interest in it.=20

I actually thought about teaching for a few months when I realized I =
didn't
want to go the professional musician route - I do actually enjoy the =
process
of teaching now and again. But the operative phrase is "now and again" =
- I
did a stint as a trainer for a company, and found that I rapidly lost
interest and patience if my students weren't at least slightly =
motivated.
Nope, not cut out to be a full-time teacher!
