The syntek is "thinner" but lasts longer between application. I'm not
as fond of it on clarinet, since the thinness means it seems to get
all over, not just on the cork. I use the syntek on the neck cork for
my saxes. The Dr. Slick is more like lip balm. It goes where you put
it. It's not quite as slippery as the Syntek and it has to be applied
more often but I prefer it on my clarinet, as it doesn't seem to goop
up the tenon as much.

Overall, I've been quite happy with all the stuff I've tried from
Doctor's Products. The bore oil works well too and the Gonzalez reeds
do seem to have less DOAs per box.
