Ollie,
It's REALLY smooth. No sticking at all. My woodwind
repair guy, who also plays in band, quintet, and a little
trio with me, also happens to be a motorcycle enthusiast.....
so he uses it. He learned the instrument repair trade from
his father, and has been at it for over 50 years....he once even
repaired a flute that had been run over and flattened pretty
badly! (He wouldn't have bothered, but it was a $5000
flute)...so he knows woodwinds pretty well. Every time I
have taken my horn to him it always comes back with this
"stuff" on the corks.....

P.S. Actually, I've never compared it with skunk oil.........
