It was my impression that Karl Leister lived and played 40-50 years ago.
Yesterday I bought a CD of Francaix compositions, and I noticed that the
clarinetist was Karl Leister and the CD was recorded just a few years
ago. So I wondered if there were two generations of clarinet family
involved. When I looked through my other CDs, I noticed that Karl
Leister recorded some Brahms fairly recently as well. So I think my
initial impression was wrong.
