Years ago, when Weiner was in Queens, I used to go there pretty often. When
Jonathan was there he made the place great. It seemed other than that it was
hopeless. There were some people who it seemed were out of the neighborhood
and couldn't identify a clarinet if their life depended on it. I don't blame
them, to them I am sure it was just a job answering the phone or whatever. I
agree, he others there often could not have been any less interested. I
recall going out there once and Fred ended up waiting on me. I was asking
for reeds, ligatures, whatever, pretty typical generic clarinet stuff. He
seemed impatient and bored and couldn't seem to locate things. After a few
minutes, he said "Why don't you just come back when Jonathan is here"
