I use different shapes of cone in the mouthpiece Bill.

I also do a dual-taper in most of my barrels. I start with a taper very similar to the typical Moennig-style taper, not starting out quite as wide, and at the last third of the barrle bore, I will reduce the angle of the taper.

I find that for many clarinet models this helps correct over-sized 12ths in the top part of the horn e/b, f/c , without messing up relationshapes lower on the horn.

I'll tell you one other thing...it's no easy task making a barrel. I can't do more than two a day.
