As I recall, it was just a 'job'. But it was recorded in a wonderful
venue, Kingsway Hall, where for example Furtwangler's 'Tristan' was
recorded.

It was the only place where, when you went to listen, you sounded how
you thought you sounded when you were playing.

And actually, almost all of the modern instrument recordings I've made
antedate this one.
