American Standard was a cheaper student brand put out by H. N. White,
makers of King instruments. You really have to figure the overhaul price
into what you offer, so it should likely not be more than a couple of
hundred US dollars tops. King made some pretty good saxes, starting in
1916 but hitting their stride with the Vol-True II (1933) and later Zephyr
and Super 20 models. If the one you are looking at has opposed bell keys
(B on opposite side of bell vs. Bb) it may be older than these models, but
should still be comparable to others of its vintage. The American Standard
name dates from the mid '20s.
