If you go to my website www.clarkwfobes.com and then go to the "Articles"
page you will find a rather long article called "Tuning and Voicing the
Clarinet". Near the end of the article is a section called "The influence
of mouthpiece and barrel on intonation".

Although this is not a complete discussion on barrel design and acoustics
it answers a few questions about barrels.

Some time soon I hope to write an article specifically devoted to barrels.
