I've been away from the KLARINET list for a few months, but was
motivated to subscribe again a few days ago after reading reports on
other lists of the fire at the Leblanc factory, and the sale by Boosey
and Hawkes of their instrument manufacturing division, including Buffet.
I was sure there would be lots of talk on the list about the possible
implications of these events on the clarinet world, but was surprised to
find apparent silence on the topic. Did I just get in on the
conversation too late?
