Last night when I was in the fuzzy-minded 'transition state' between
awake and asleep, I was thinking about whether I should travel (via
automobile) with my wooden or plastic clarinet. There's a major
climate change between the sea coast where I live and the Las Vegas
desert where I'll be headed. At the border, agricultural inspectors
always ask us: "Are you carrying any fruits or vegetables or animal
products?"

So in my fuzzy half-asleep state, I began to imagine the hassle if the
inspector asked me to open my clarinet case, and inside he found orange
peels..... Fortunately, I feel sound asleep a moment later.
