I'm never going back to cane again. Played a chamber program tonight -- Reinecke trio and
Stravinksy L'Histoire trio. I lost count of how many people came up to me, including my ensemble
mates, to tell me how wonderful the quality of my sound was ~ tone, consistency, connections,
articulation. No problem getting a nice resonant ring in my tone, and total consistency
throughout the acoustic range, Low E to High C, not to mention a broadened dynamic range of at
least 10%. All of this, and I can count on being able to duplicate these results on the same reed
for at least the next six months. I actually have 10 Legeres, each with its unique set of
qualities, which I've catalogued, and I can pick any one of them knowing exactly how it's going to
play. No more stupid fickle cane reeds. How much more pleasurable clarinet playing has become
since I started using Legere!
