Sue,
You can get a new Greenline R13 from woodwind and brasswind for $1675
(still a lot compared to $850). They are actually 95% grenadilla. The
clarinet professor at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (my future
teacher unless I do well enough at my CIM audition on Sunday to get a
scholarship) owns a pair, and I can't tell a difference in his playing
between those and his regular R13.
Also, I'm new to this list, and I wondered if anyone on here plays
selmer signatures? I just bough a pair last March and am very pleased. I
went over to Muncy winds in NC and tried out about four R13s, three LeBlanc
Concertos, and two signatures. Before that I was playing an old Noblet Bb.
It was time for a step up, and I was very surprised that I liked the Selmers
so much seeing as how everyone else seems to like R13s. Just curious if
anyone else is similarly inclined.
Anyway, long enough for a first posting.

Will Casada
