Yes, but the soprano embouchure is NEARLY as tight as clarinet, and the
angle is closer to clarinet as well. It is most likely that you have a
leak somewhere, but it is not that hard to overblow an octave, either. But
the upper stack and the area around F, G, and G# are prone to problems. G
is not that low a note. The bottom notes on soprano (C, B, Bb) do tend to
go quite sharp and need relaxing to bring them down. The old Conns can
sound very good -- I have a friend who has a Conn stencil soprano that WAILS!
