Dave,
We are playing this one in our City band.....I am looking at the
2nd clarinet part right now, and I see the spot you are talking
about...I think all three clarinet parts are pretty much the same
there (this would be starting a measure #63, right?) Not to say
that we REALLY play this "as fast as possible", some of the
people in our group just can't do it, and it sounds real
SLOPPY if we try to go too fast. But I love this piece, and our
band director got it out at my request.
I just keep my right hand down, like you said. If anyone knows
a better way, I would like to know about it, too!!!!
