Subj: [kl] Replacement Eb clarinet case
Date: Mon, 17 Feb 2003 03:25:10 -0500

Hi,
I am in the middle of a very frustrating search to find a replacement case
for my old Buffet Eb clarinet. I am hoping someone on the list can help
me. My clarinet comes in 4 pieces, instead of the usual 5 (the main body
is one-piece). My parents bought a DEG replacement case for me for
Christmas, but it doesn't work. The layout of the inside of the case makes
absolutely no sense. I've showed it to about 6 different people, and no
one can tell me how the clarinet is supposed to go in the case. Has anyone
purchased one of these cases? Has it worked any better for you than it has
for me? Also, the DEG is the only case I have been able to find in either
a catalog or on the internet. Is there something I'm missing? Does anyone
else make a replacement Eb case (for a reasonable price....the only other
one I found was a Wiseman for about $400...too rich for my blood)?
Thanks,
Robyn
