If I read that address right, Bill Wright's writing to us again! Yay!
Welcome back! I missed you!

Yes, it is I.

[ hmm .... "I" ? .... to Mrs. Durant, my 3rd-7th grade English teacher,
for whom I memorized the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner in its entirety:
"You can see that I have not forgotten, Mrs. Durant! Rest well (if
that's what you're doing)." ]

Thank you for the 'welcome back', Lelia. It makes me feel good.

from "Music and the Mind", Anthony Storr

I quoted Storr because his statement reminds us that there is more ---
much more --- to music than just our sense of hearing and our
intellectual understanding of pitch, harmony and so forth. Our guts,
our sense of time and touch, vision.... much of it lurking unrecognized
in our subconscious, of course.

Another reason that I couldn't stay away from the Internet is that I
have been watching for word of the tentative program at Salt Lake City,
the accommodations and location thereof, and so forth. It's only 5
months away. Some of us need to start planning and making decisions.

Does anybody have any 'gossip'?

Cheers,
Bill
