I have both a Bb and an Eb Rene Dumont. Typical medium-quality french
clarinets. My Bb, the first clarinet I owned, probably dates to the 1950's
or so (I got it used). It has a quite narrow bore, about .563. Its sound
is a little small, but it has no particular problems. It served me well
through college. The Eb I just picked up recently and haven't dealt with
it enough to really critique it seriously, although it sounds quite nice
and "clarinetty" all the way into the altissimo with the Roger Garret
mouthpiece I bought for it (the Vandoren it came with sounded "honk-y" up
there).

The markings suggest this was made by Thibouville Freres under military
contract. The "Brevete SGDG" is roughly the French equivalent of
"Registered Trade Mark." A fairly well-known and respected maker in their day.

The others are strictly run-of-the-mill.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
