How many of you have tried the new Legere "Quebec" style reeds? I played one in rehearsal last night in our concert hall.

I was really pleased with the warm depth of the tone (what others might call darkness). The reed was also able to handle all the acrobatics required in Berstein's "Symphonic Dances from West Side Story" which goes up to G, G#, and A fairly often. Felt very secure up there!

If you haven't tried them I urge you to.

BTW - I have no financial arrangement with the Legere company.
