Good people of the Klarinet list,

We've discussed mouth piece costs, vendors and other
various aspects. But the one thing this novice is
still unclear on is what makes a good mouth piece,
what makes a bad one and what makes one better than
the next.

I would like to experiment with various ones ...but I
don't know what I'm looking for. Am I looking for
easier flow, tone quality, uniformity in range? Please
explain Could someone pleas explain the various
numbering and lettering scheme associated with mouth
pieces.

If this question has been discussed previous to my
joining this group, I apologize. If you consider these
questions rudimentary for this group, please email me
directly at vicbrincat@-----.com Thanks for your
help.

Vic
