I have been playing exclusively a 3.75 Legere, and have fallen into the trap
of loving this one reed so much that I play and play and play.

Occasionally, I switch back to my cane, and I find some good reason to do
so. Keeps me honest. Also causes me to wonder how long cane will last in
light of reeds like the Legere.

Don't get me wrong. There is a subtle difference between cane and this reed,
but the subtly becomes narrower as ones embouchure adapts.

You do have to get used to the reed. I find that if it is too light, the
3.5, the chalumeau can actually buzz. Also, the reed does need some break
in. When I started, the 3.75 was a bit hard. I have a 4.0, and will move to
that next.

I haven't had any problems with warpage or intonation. I play on a 5RVLyre,
Buffet R-13, Van Doren Optima set-up. There may be better clarinets than
this one, but over the years I have owned as many as ten instruments, and
none produced the sound this one has from day one.
