I have a R. M. Malerne clarinet that I purchased (many
moons ago). I have seen both a "Standard and an
Artiste" model. In fact I have accumulated a barrel
from both models over the years.

Which was Malerne's higher end model the Artiste or
the Standard?

If I'm not mistaken, Malerne went out of business in
the mid-Seventies. I bought mine brand new...(then).
