I am not sure what you mean when you say the "open hole notes" so possibly I can't be very helpful.

If you still have it, however, I would test the clarinet with the original barrel. Even though I make and sell "replacement" barrels, I will state my belief that the best barrel for a givne clarinet is the one that came with it.

Do to varing bore sizes, barrels are NOT always interchangeable from one clarinet to another, even if the tenons do accomodate each other.

Why don't you test the intonation with the original barrel, then get back to us with the results?
