Subj: [kl] Castelnuovo-Tedesco Question

Hey everyone,

I am currently polishing up the Castelnuovo-Tedesco Sonata for the Young
Artist competition. One of my friends played this piece in a master class
for Elsa Ludwig-Verdehr. She told him that the low C#'s in measures 3 and
4 of the first movement should actually be C naturals. But that the notes
don't change anywhere else. I have noticed many inconsistancies in
articulation markings that i've corrected, but this is a pretty
significant change. Does anybody else play those notes as C naturals?
What is the reason for that? I am concerned that changing those notes may
not sit well with the judges :)

Thanks for the information, I really appreciate it.
