And there are also several well-known compositions that are not even
published for C clarinet, though that is what is called for. For
example, the Beethoven clarinet/bassoon duets. There is also a Mozart
quintet for clarinet in C, basset horn, and string trio that has been
reconstructed and published. Shubert's Offertorium, "Totus In Corde
Lanque" has a spectacular obligatto part for C clarinet.
