I've been studying on an edition of the Celebrated Method for the
last three years and was surprised to hear this. I went out to the
publisher's website: http://www.carlfischer.com and while they list
quite a few of Klose items as discontinued, the edition I use is not
listed as OOP. They have the following blurbs:

>Carl Fischer #O304
>CELEBRATED METHOD FOR THE CLARINET
>(KLOSE/arr BELLISON )
>Solo & Ensemble CLARINET Carl Fischer, Inc.
>
>H. Klose/revised and enlarged by Simeon Bellison. The "Bible" for
>clarinetists!
>Often referred to simply as "Klose," this 293-page book is to
>clarinet players what
>the Arban book is to trumpet players. A "must" for all serious clarinetists!

I'd be surprised, as this seems to be a popular piece of teaching
literature. Perhaps this version is different. I'd be curious if
anyone feels there is a "better" version, and why.

Best to all on the list.
