Due to a recently acquired hernia condition I have been forced to play
seated. (For decades I have always played standing with various jazz
groups). To my surprise I seemed to have more overall control of my
playing, or was this just because I had made myself more relaxed taking
pressure from my newly acquired ailment ? Comments invited from fellow
