You are absolutely right. First, try another chiropractor for your back.
There are different methods of manipulation. I have problems with the way
some things are done. A DC who uses a Thompson table should fix the problem
you had, or at least the method should not cause you pain as a part of the
treatment.

I also agree about the claims. I even had one DC who said that chiropractic
can "cure" flu. I take everyone's claim with a pinch of salt, and try to
determine who would be the best to treat each specific instance. For
example, with my neck/arm/hand problem, I didn't search for a proctologist
to treat it. And in the WWBW catalogue, I observe that Rovner ligatures can
provide a "warm, solid, open & center, darker sound" or "an airy, broad,
open tone, somewhat brighter than the "Dark"." [Don't hit me, Dan! Just
quoting. <g>] If we believe everything that is said by anyone ... oh, but
we do! I can't guess the number of times that someone reporting for jury
duty has answered "yes" to the question: "If something is published in the
media, do you accept it as fact/truth?"

I'm just teasing you. I've had bad experiences with both DCs and MDs. Just
one more set of problems to work through.

Jim
