My personal favourites are "salsa sauce" and "beef with 'au jus' ".
And then there's "teriyaki chicken" and, even better, "teriyaki
beef", which I suppose must be the Japanglish translation of
"chicken-fried steak". :-)

Just for the sake of adding something clarinet-related, I have read
(and own) Colin Lawson's book, and consider it essential reading for
any clarinetist, even if you're never going to play the Concerto.

Meanwhile I'm stuck at home with no students, due to our third
blizzard in seven days...
