Jimmy Yan here in New York did exactly that for Stanley Drucker some years back when Stanley
damaged the nerves in one of his lefthand fingers. The sensitivity of the finger had been
severely diminished and required that a platau key be built over the tonehole. Eventually, the
finger healed and the modification was removed.
