Have been caught up in the opportunity to play Madama Butterfly in 3 rehearsals, with a "pick up" orchestra and a conductor who is good, but with whom we are unfamiliar. They are doing it essentially one player to a part. It is a lot of playing for 2 hours and 45 minutes....any hints on how to live through this opportunity, from those with opera experience?
