I think window pane glass is too thin and will probably flex. The glass
gage I use is made by J.J. Babbitt company and is only about $15. Their
phone# is (219) 295-6514. This standard gage fits nicely over a mouthpiece
and can be used to measure all clarinet and all saxophone mouthpieces.
