I have used the plasti-coat reeds on my little Bb in the church
orchestra as sometimes we have long waits between some of the pieces we play
and the reeds tend to dry out . I thought I'd be real slick and make a
couple for my contra. I chose a couple of fairly good reeds and gave them a
light coat of "Plasti-coat" spray, an automotive plastic paint for redoing
seats and door panels. Didn't work. In fact those reeds never spoke again.
But they looked good! Willie
