I find that applying a good key oil (I use 30 weight motor oil, as
recommended by the Brannens) will reduce the likelihood of a screw working
its way out of place. I simply remove the screw, clean it, and apply the
oil to the screw and replace it. Several of my students have occasional
problems with screws working themselves out and using the oil seems to help.
