Darned if I know why, but I find that the Spriggs rail ligature works
well. Perhaps not coincidentally, Peter Spriggs himself plays on a
Légère. When I ordered my ligature from him, he told me he's been
playing on the same reed for a year and a half!

I like the Spriggs ligature with a Légère and the Eddie Daniels Rovner
with a cane reed.
