I played on a Bundy alto clarinet for a while until I got my Buffet and it
really wasn't that bad. It was a borrowed middle school instrument that
had been around for years. With a decent mouthpiece (Vandoren B44) the
results weren't that bad.

The response in the clarion was somewhat uneven, to be sure, but the bottom
octave was just fine.
